Não gosto muito de Natal mas não pude deixar de postar sobre o fim deste ano que, para mim em particular, significou o início de pequenas realizações_ e transformações_ adiadas por muito tempo

Então, pra não cair na pieguice total de postar pombinhas, criancinhas, mar, fogos de artifício e outras redundâncias de ano-novo, resolvi pôr imagens de uma dessas pequenas realizações que citei, meu querido caderno nascido no Diário Gráfico do Alarcão _ainda cru, recém nascido mesmo

I don't like Christmas so much but I could not leave posting about the end of this year which, particularly for me, meant the start of little achievements _and transformations_ that had been postponed for so long

So, aiming not to get into a total sloppy thing posting little pigeons, little children, sea, fireworks and other new year's redundancies, I've decided to take images of one of those little achievements I said about, my dear book born into Alarcão's Graphic Diary Workshop_ still crude, really newborn

11 de dezembro - dia do arquiteto

Atrasado, eu sei. Não tive tempo...Sou arquiteta.
Bem, e já que estamos entre uma data e outra, posto a minha singela homenagem aos 100 anos de Niemeyer também. O croquizinho acima foi feito por ele depois de uma palestra na faculdade, acho que em 1996. Poucos felizardos tiveram a honra :)

Lá está ele na minha sala, e sinceramente não pensei que ele fosse ver o seu autor centenário. Vida Longa ao Oscar!

Architects Day

Late, I know. I had no time...I'm an architect.

Well since we are between both dates, I post my simple tribute to Niemeyer's 100º birthday too. The little sketch above was made by him after a lecture in the university,1996, I think. Few lucky ones had the honor : )

There it's in my living room, and sincerely I've never thought it could see its author being centenarian. Greetings to Oscar!

PS: The Architect Day was created after Architecture has became a regulated profession in Brazil, in December 11th, 1933.

Sherazade do Diário Gráfico

Na verdade é uma indiana, mas não importa, apareceu no meio do caos e imediatamente virou Sherazade pra mim.

Muita turbulência e muito calor no Marimbondo ontem , jatos de Colorjet e suor (argh) na pele.

Actually it's an indian but it doesn't matter, it appeared from the chaos and immediately became Scheherazade to me.

Lot of turbulence and lot of warmth at Marimbondo Studio yesterday, jets of spray paint and sweat (argh) on skin.

oh,Minas Gerais III

Há uma série de postais oportunamente chamados "Janelas de Ouro Preto e Mariana", cuja autoria é creditada a "B.Ellera e W.Elias", pessoas sobre quem não encontrei nada na web. Mas não importa, os postais são fofos e as janelas formam um patchwork bacana com suas cores, arcos, grades e muxarabis.

Eu tentei fazer este rabisco na minha cafeteria ouro-pretana preferida, mas as pessoas (digo, a simples presença delas) não deixaram então terminei no hotel mesmo. Quase me esqueci de postá-lo aqui.

There is a serie of postal cards opportunely called "Windows of Ouro Preto and Mariana", which authorship is credited to "B. Ellera and W.Elias", people whom I didn't find anything about on web. But it doesn't matter, the cards are cute and the windows make a really nice patchwork with their colors, arcs, rails and mushrabeyehs.

I've tried to do this doodle in my preferred café in Ouro Preto but people (I mean, their simple presence) didn't allow me so I finished in the hotel anyway. Almost forgot posting it here.
