Não era a minha intenção postar sobre isso tão cedo mas... Há! Olha ela aí de novo: mais uma instalação-protesto-de-fim-de-semana. Esta aconteceu na semana passada,no dia dos pais, organizada pelo movimento "Pais por Justiça". Os 365 chiquitos plásticos vendados simbolizavam as crianças que quase não vêem seus papais após a separação deles de suas mamães, em função de acordos judiciais desiguais e de mulheres-monstras que usam as crianças como moeda de troca em brigas com seus ex-cônjuges, impedindo os pequenos de os verem.Segundo os organizadores, o número de bonecos simboliza o número de dias em que uma criança deve ter pai e mãe...Ops. Mas eles não estão separados? Bem, só Salomão para resolver esta pequena questão.

I didn't have any intention to post about it now but...Ha! There it comes again: One more weekend-installation-protest. This one happened last Sunday, Father's day in Brazil, organized by the "Fathers for Justice" action. The 365 blindfolded plastic chiquitos symbolized the children who almost don't see their dads after have split up with their moms, because of unequal justiciary deals and women-monsters who use children as an exchange currency in fights with their ex-spouses, and don't let the kids see them.


According the organizers, the number of dolls simbolizes the number of days a child must have father and mother...Ops. But are they not split up with each other? Well, only Solomon to solve this little question.

O carioca é mesmo craque em fazer instalações sob o pretexto de protesto. Já houve rosas, cruzes, camisetas brancas em profusão (que,disse Bussunda, "parecia um anúncio gigante de absorvente"), infinitos minutos de silêncio (instalação multimídia), etc. No último fim de semana foram sacos plásticos pretos simbolizando os mortos pela violência.

Como sempre,tudo muito belo,tudo muito pungente. E depois de recolher o lixo é tomar um brunch à beira mar e curtir o balneário até aonde a geografia do provincianismo-chique permite.

Que tal chamar Christo e Jeanne-Claude para a próxima? ;)

Carioca is really an expert of making installations as an excuse of protest. There were already roses, crosses, white shirts in profusion (what,Bussunda said, "seemed an enormous sanitary towel advertisement"), infinite minutes of silence (multimedia installation),etc. In the last weekend there were black plastic bags symbolizing the people dead by violence.

As always, everything beautiful, everything very pungent. And after picking the garbage up it's having a brunch on the seaside and enjoy the bathing resort until the geography of provincianism-chic allows.

What about inviting Christo and Jeanne-Claude for the next?
